I am a designer/artist specializing in the creation of work expressive of spirituality and faith.
The focus of my art practice is on projects commissioned for use in worship and liturgical settings. This work typically reflects the seasons, themes, and colors of the Christian Liturgical Calendar that enrich the worship lives of many churches, parishes, and congregations.
My sources of inspiration include the sacred writings that ground my faith, the hymns and music that express that faith, and the theological reflections and spiritual insights that emerge on the course of my faith journey. My work is informed by academic degrees in journalism and theology, extensive studies in art and surface design, and experience as a parish pastor and published author. The multiple threads of my passions, interests, and experiences combine to enable me to be in intuitive dialog with liturgical arts teams, to sensitively assess and interpret the needs of each faith community, and to develop aesthetically pleasing and theologically rich designs unique to the contexts in which the artwork will reside.
I welcome comments and inquiries about my ministry in the arts.
