Artist Statement
Jean Tudor is an enamelist, living in Edgewood, WA. She works particularly in cloisonné wall works, sometimes combining it with raku-fired enamels. She teaches at The Grünewald Guild, an art/faith center in the Cascade Mountains, and she heads up the Liturgical Arts Bunch for Christ Church Parish, Tacoma, WA. She has also done large hanging fabric sculptures for Pentecost and Epiphany seasons. Her work has been exhibited here, in Spain, France, Germany, Britain, Japan, Mexico, and Chile. Jean Tudor works with vitreous enamel on metal. She lives in Edgewood, Washington, having returned to the area after residing on the East Coast, the Midwest, and Colombia, Latin America. Her husband is a retired Episcopal priest. She is a past president, board member and member of The Enamelist Society, and the Northwest Designer/Craftsmen. Jean teaches at the Grunewald Guild, an ecumenical art/faith center in Plain, WA, where she is a Guildmaster.
