Artist Statement
I am a painter, printmaker, sculptor, and installation artist. My paintings include acrylic on canvas, gouache and watercolor on paper, and acrylic on wood. My printmaking techniques include serigraphy (silk screen), intaglio/aquatint (etching), and monoprinting. I use a variety of media and have worked in mixed-media since 1980.

The visual elements/concerns in my work include: 1) experimentation and creation of new color field theories with new technologies in paints and pigments; 2) geometric balance and movement; 3) creation of intense design forms via line, shape and shading; and, 4) the narration of themes within both literary and abstract parameters.

My artistic interests include mythology, the gospels and Early Christian phenomena, sacred geometry, ancient history, world religions, metaphysics, and physics.
