Artist Statement
I’m blessed to live near the Atlantic Ocean, the St. John's River, the intracoastal waterway & it's thriving marsh. I'm literally surrounded by nature's beauty from sunrise to sunset. Inspiration is everywhere. I just can't help taking pictures of it. I love it all, as well as the furry, feathered and finned creatures that inhabit these places---well, maybe not sharks or eels or man-o-wars.
I've been taking photos for more than 40 years. So, I begin with photography, but I seek to find more than just a pretty picture. I want you to see what I see through the lens---a familiar subject revealed in a new way. Flowers are one of my favorite subjects.
I enjoy using digital & traditional artistic tools to find something
you may not see to begin with, to dig a little deeper, change the image. I hope to enrich the vision and perception of anyone who shares my world by looking at my images.
Yet, I want our amazing landscapes to point you to our loving Father & Creator. Only He can change us from beast to beauty.
